The intermediate disorder regime for a directed polymer model on a hierarchical lattice

We study a directed polymer model defined on a hierarchical diamond lattice, where the lattice is constructed recursively through a recipe depending on a branching number $b\in \mathbb{N}$ and a segment number $s\in \mathbb{N}$. When $b\le s$ it is known that the model exhibits strong disorder for all positive values of the inverse temperature $\beta$, and thus weak disorder reigns only for $\beta =0$ (infinite temperature). Our focus is on the so-called intermediate disorder regime in which the inverse temperature $\beta \equiv {\beta }_n$ vanishes at an appropriate rate as the size $n$ of the system grows. Our analysis requires separate treatment for the cases $b<s$ and $b=s$. In the case $b<s$ we prove that when the inverse temperature is taken to be of the form ${\beta }_n=\stackrel{?}{\beta }{(b/s)}^{n/2}$ for $\stackrel{?}{\beta }>0$, the normalized partition function of the system converges weakly as $n\to \infty$ to a distribution $L\left(\stackrel{?}{\beta }\right)$ and does so universally with respect to the initial weight distribution. We prove the convergence using renormalization group type ideas rather than the standard Wiener chaos analysis. In the case $b=s$ we find a critical point in the behavior of the model when the inverse temperature is scaled as ${\beta }_n=\stackrel{?}{\beta }/n$; for an explicitly computable critical value ${\kappa }_b>0$ the variance of the normalized partition function converges to zero with large $n$ when $\stackrel{?}{\beta }\le {\kappa }_b$ and grows without bound when $\stackrel{?}{\beta }>{\kappa }_b$. Finally, we prove a central limit theorem for the normalized partition function when $\stackrel{?}{\beta }\le {\kappa }_b$.     

Limit theorems for random walks

We consider a random walk $S_{\tau }$ which is obtained from the simple random walk $S$ by a discrete time version of Bochner’s subordination. We prove that under certain conditions on the subordinator $\tau$ appropriately scaled random walk $S_{\tau }$ converges in the Skorohod space to the symmetric $\alpha$-stable process $B^{\alpha }$. We also prove asymptotic formula for the transition function of $S_{\tau }$ similar to the Pólya’s asymptotic formula for $B^{\alpha }$.

研究了完全耦合正倒向随机控制系统的最优控制问题.得到了粘性解框架下的,控制变量同时出现在正倒向随机系统的漂移项和扩散项中的最优控制问题的验证定理.还讨论了验证定理在构造随机最优反馈控制中的应用.     

基于S-R和分解定理的几何非线性问题的数值计算分析

为了探究几何非线性问题的数值求解方法,采用理论推导、MATLAB编程计算、有限元模拟相结合的方法,基于S-R和分解定理及更新拖带坐标描述法,运用插值型无单元Galerkin方法对几何非线性问题的增量变分方程进行了推导,并通过四点Gauss积分法和不动点迭代法对其进行求解.最后以平面悬臂梁的大变形问题为例进行求解计算,发现与ANSYS的计算结果拟合相似度很高,说明了所采用的几何非线性力学理论及数值计算方法的正确性和合理性,为求解几何非线性问题提供了一种新的依据.

Bloch Constant on α-Bloch Mappings of the Unit Ball

This note is denoted to establishing sharp distortion theorems for subclasses of α-Bloch mappings defined in the unit ball of Cn with critical points.Furthermore,the estimates of Bloch constant with respect to these subclasses are given.     

Hypergeometric approach to Apéry-like series

By reformulating four hypergeometric series formulae, we derive 36 Apéry-like series expressions for the Riemann zeta function, including a couple of identities conjectured by Sun [New series for some special values of L-functions. Nanjing Univ J Math. 2015;32(2): 189–218].     

Solitons and other solutions to a new coupled nonlinear Schrodinger type equation

In this paper, the first integral method combined with Liu's theorem is applied to integrate a new coupled nonlinear Schrodinger type equation. Using this combination, more new exact traveling wave solutions are obtained for the considered equation using ideas from the theory of commutative algebra. In addition, more solutions are also obtained via the application of semi-inverse variational principle due to Ji-Huan He. The used approaches with the help of symbolic computations via Mathematica 9, may provide a straightforward effective and powerful mathematical tools for solving nonlinear partial differential equations in mathematical physics.     

Distortion theorems for normalized biholomorphic quasi-convex mappings

In this paper, we will use the Schwarz lemma at the boundary to character the distortion theorems of determinant at the extreme points and distortion theorems of matrix on the complex tangent space at the extreme points for normalized locally biholomorphic quasi-convex mappings in the unit ball B ⁿ respectively.
